Villa d'Este Style 2019 was held in Cernobbio on May the 4th

Villa d’Este Style 2019.

Villa d’Este Style, the annual event dedicated to an historical car model, Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 SS Villa d’Este, celebrated an important anniversary: the 70th year from its creation. This renowned model is the undisputed protagonist of the event that gathers some precious and very rare examples of this car in the stunning location of Villa d’Este, which ideated and promoted the initiative back in 2012.

The event gathered seven models of Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 SS Villa d’Este coming from all over the world: one for each decade of this extraordinary car. A curated selection of special guest cars enriched the parterre: one model of Alfa Romeo 6C 2300 dated 1936, one model of Isotta Fraschini 8C Monterosa dated 1948 and one model of Giulia GTC dated 1966, the last Alfa Romeo built by Carrozzeria Touring.
Edition after edition, an updated event concept stimulates the development of new ideas. Over the past years, several analogies between automobiles, design and architecture in the forties and fifties, as well as on the style heritage of the Villa d’Este car, were the focus: the aim this time was to highlight the special connection between Alfa Romeo and Carrozzeria Touring.
Early in the afternoon cars drove down to Piazza Risorgimento in Cernobbio and exhibited to public from 3pm to 5pm, offering the chance to admire a “once-in-a-lifetime” collection, together with around 50 models of classic Alfa Romeo cars belonging to members of Registro Internazionale Alfa Romeo, Classic Club Italia, Veteran Car Club Como and Club Milanese Automotoveicoli d’Epoca.
