Event 2020

Villa d'Este Style 2020

Many of the activities planned for the Spring 2020, like the annual celebration of the Alfa Romeo 6C 2500SS “Villa d’Este”, have been postponed.
Our event was initially planned to be in Tuscany, so it has been moved both in time and space, finally taking place at the end of June in Cernobbio.

For its ninth edition, and in a year that has been difficult in many ways, Villa d’Este decided to give an optimistic message, gathering the highest number of cars ever, all 6C 2500s obviously.

Six “Villa d’Este” were shown (out of the 32 built and 18 surviving), with seven more postwar 2500s:

  • Two SSs bodied by Touring
  • One “Freccia d’oro”
  • One S ‘Motore Avanzato’ with Alfa body
  • A Pinin Farina coachbuilt Saloon
  • Two SS Cabriolets by Pinin Farina

These breathtaking motor cars gave us a pretty complete vision of the main body styles which were available in the last years of the splendid 6C 2500 chassis’ life. In particular, the two Touring coupés made it possible to appreciate the fact that the “Villa d’Este” represent the top level of the evolution of this kind of automobile.
